SENATE BILL NO. 56 "An Act relating to criminal law and                                             
procedure, criminal sentences, and probation and parole; and                                        
providing for an effective date" was read the second time.                                          
                                                                                                    
Senator Seekins, Chair, moved and asked unanimous consent for the                                   
adoption of the Judiciary Committee Substitute offered on page 102.                                 
Without objection, CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 56(JUD) was                                               
adopted.                                                                                            
                                                                                                    
The bill will advance to third reading on the January 24 calendar.
